Warranty/Tolerances
Mullet Door warrants that it's products are manufactured and sold free from defects at the time of shipment. The beauty of a natural wood product does allow for minimal amounts of natural characteristics of wood to show. Natural wood products must also expand and contract so tolerances have been engineered into all of our products to allow for proper movement. Mullet Door will not be liable for any damage done to our products due to improper handling or cleaning, or if the product is stored for extended periods without being properly sealed and top-coated. We will not warrant any defects that could have been prevented by the customer, such as improper surface prep for a product that is to be finished. This warranty covers only the replacement of the product produced by Mullet Door, and the shipping charges to and from the plant. This warranty does not cover installation or removal, labor or travel time of any kind, nor any related products used with our products. This warranty is valid for one year from the date of shipment. Veneered products are warranted to be similar in color as much as possible with the solid wood parts on the order, but a slight color variation will usually appear in the finished product. To et a more perfect match, we recommend that you order a raised panel door style RVSRP center panel profile. Due to inherent expansion and contraction of wood, any product with a glued up panel over 32" wide will carry no warranty. This includes but is not limited to: raised panel doors, slab and batten doors, wainscots, appliance panels, and GUP. We warrant the outside dimensions of all products to be within a size tolerance of +/- 1 mm. All component parts of an assembled product will have a tolerance of +/- 2 mm. All doors, drawer fronts, GUP and center panels that are 26" wide and 48" high or smaller will have an allowable tolerance of 1/8" and any of these items over that size will have a 1/4" warpage tolerance. All doors over 32" wide will carry no warranty against warpage. All doors greater than 72" high will carry no warranty against warpage. All of our products are designed for interior use only.
Finish Sanding / Remakes
Every door that leaves the plant is machine sanded with 220 grit sandpaper on the front and back. All cross grain scratches are removed from the face of each door. Each door is then fladder sanded on the face with 180 grit sandpaper to remove any raised grain and to slightly break the edges. This is done to keep our quality standard at a consistently high level. All finish sanding is included in the pricing structure. We recommend that you sand your door faces and outside edge profile to the same grit that you have sanded your face frames and cabinet boxes. This will remove any scuff marks that might have occurred from handling, and it will also help you achieve a much closer match when you stain. If we make a mistake on your order, we will expedite any remakes by producing them on our Quick Ship Order schedule. We will replace and ship the product at no additional charge to you. Shipment will be by the same method as the original order.
